Ready for a Ghostly Good Time? The Shivering Shadows 7K Returns to Wildwood

If you're looking for a race that's anything but ordinary, Wildwood has just the thing. The 7th Annual Shivering Shadows 7K Run/Walk returns on Friday, October 23, 2026, bringing a one-of-a-kind nighttime adventure through some of Wildwood's most iconic trails.

This isn't your typical road race. As the sun goes down, participants will make their way through a mix of paved, gravel, and natural-surface trails, eventually venturing toward the legendary Zombie Road for an evening filled with fun, frights, and plenty of Halloween spirit.

What Makes This Race So Unique?

The adventure begins on the paved Hamilton-Carr Trail, providing a smooth warm-up before transitioning to the Al Foster Trail. From there, participants will experience portions of the natural-surface Bluff View Trail, where rocks, roots, and wooded terrain add an extra layer of challenge and excitement.

The course then winds toward the legendary Zombie Road, where the spooky atmosphere becomes part of the experience. As the race continues through the darkness, participants will eventually emerge onto the paved Rock Hollow Trail for the final stretch.

Bring a flashlight or headlamp; you'll definitely need it!
