New Buyer Agency Changes
Hey buyers- the home-buying process is changing! REALTORS® now need a signed Buyer’s Agency Agreement before showing any property. No signature, no entry- simple as that.
Why the change? Without this agreement, REALTORS® face hefty fines. A Buyer’s Agency Agreement outlines your agent’s responsibilities and compensation, and binds you to work with them for a set period of time.
So, hiring the right team has never been more crucial. With years of experience and hundreds of transactions under our belt, we’ve always prioritized transparency and expertise.
Remember, while sellers can still cover your agent’s commission, it won’t be listed on the MLS anymore. Buyer’s agents now confirm directly with listing agents about compensation and will keep you informed.
We’ve always asked our buyers to sign an agency agreement, understanding the value of our services. Like any professional, our time is valuable, and we’re here to guide you through every step.
Educate yourself so you’re prepared when discussing this with an agent. A buyer’s agent offers valuable services and can save you from costly mistakes.
